Warwickshire 2nd XV Shield Final hosted at Waterloo Fields.

Without a match for two weeks after the game against Bedworth, the 1st XV ran out through a guard of honour formed by the U6s to u10s on Vice Presidents day – 12 March. Travelling over from Worcestershire, Chaddesley Corbett provided the opposition for this vital League Match. Harbury rose to the occasion, entertaining the pitch side supporters with a complete performance, winning 52-0.
A 2nd XV was also mustered on Vice Presidents day to play against Leamington - Warwickshire 2nd XV Shield winners on the back pitch. Whilst Harbury had not been able to put together a second team since much earlier in the season, they put together a sterling performance that narrowly missed out on a win.
The Minis and Juniors had a brilliant month in March with fixtures against Old Laurentians, Berkswell & Balsall, Old Leamingtonians, Birmingham and Solihull Bees and Banbury. Some highlights from the U14s with an 82 – 5 win over Earlsdon and a 57-7 win over Bees.

We are heading into festival season with trips to Hinckley and Stratford and the highlight of the season, tour! The Minis are heading to Shrewsbury and the juniors are heading to various locations across the UK, including a trip to HQ!

We have been blessed with the weather over the last few weeks making it a beautiful sight on a Sunday morning up at Waterloo Fields. If you are keen to give it a try get in touch with Phil ( or Chris (

WARWICKSHIRE 2nd XV SHIELD FINAL was played at Waterloo Fields on Sunday 6 March with Leamington taking the honours over Shipston. Warwickshire were well impressed with our set up and thanked us for making the event a great success. The car park was rammed and the bar staff (Elle, Neil & Linno) were rushed off their feet throughout the afternoon.

A CHARITY DISCO held at the Club on Friday March 11 raised over £1,200 in aid of Cancer Research UK; hosted and organised by Keiron, in celebration of Eva’s life.
The second pre-match lunch of the season, arranged by Paul Winch, was held on Saturday 12 March. Hosted by Club President Ian Holroyd, we were served up with a first class roast dinner followed by cheese, biscuits and port. We then settled down to be entertained by an excellent after dinner speaker - comedian Bob Webb. Covid reappeared in the week leading up to the event resulting in several members having to cancel late on which somehow or other didn’t affect the bar take!
Over seventy folk attended a “Comedy Night” at the Club on Friday 18 March organised by Neil Stevens. Five comedians each had a half hour slot, having to deal with a few good humoured “hecklers” from the audience. A great social event was enjoyed by one and all. Unfortunately for some, a few struggled to cope against Shipston 2nds the following afternoon which eventually took its toll, leaving them on the wrong side of the final scoreline.
