Harbury travelled across country to find themselves in Bedfordshire facing Kempston RFC on what was a perfect day for fast paced attacking Rugby in the early autumn sunshine. WhileKempston fought bravely Harbury were relentless in their pressure with two tries in the opening five minutes being taken by S.Alford and Taylor.
Harbury were guilty of throwing away possession with ambitious offloads instead of working the phases which left some chances wasted. On the plus side when Kempston did go on the attackthe Harbury defence stood firm and tackled well. Tries three, four and five all came in the final ten minutes of the first half with scores from Milburn, R.Alford and a second for S.Alford
The second half followed the same pattern with Harbury scoring a further six tries with five different scorers (Foley, Hunt, Evans, Shinkwin Smith x2) and while again some scores werenot taken the performance as a whole was very positive and one of enjoyment and determination with new coach Henry Rheeders continuing to rejuvenate the club.
