We've been waiting a long time to get an official RFU First Aid held at the club and it finally happened last Saturday.
With a maximum of 12 places, Harrow provided 8 volunteers for this important qualification. The course takes a whole day but finished in time for the Ireland/England 6 Nations game, which was a good thing, we suppose!
The Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union (EFARU) course is designed specifically for our sport and is the best and most relevant one. Everyone who did the course said how good it was and how they much they had learnt and also enjoyed it.
The attendees are coaches and team volunteers from the Junior section of the club who were joined by Head Coach John Porter-Griffiths, and together they will give a big boost to our available First Aid resources for training and matchdays.
It's a big commitment and huge thanks to those stepping up for this role: Sophia Kelly, Mike Lewis, Michael Pennant-Jones, Fergal Doherty, Mark Shear, Zoe Morton and Nirakar Vaidya.
Well done and thank you on behalf of the club!
