It is with sadness that I must report to you the death of three of our past members who have all died recently

Firstly Ron Baldwin, a past Club Chairman in 1993 who despite moving to the South Coast on retirement with his wife Christine remained a committed member of the club who frequently provided advice to our management committee, most recently around our journey to become a CASC. Ron was found dead in his home on the 26th June by his wife’s carer. We have no funeral arrangements at the moment or indeed any cause of death

Then there is Darren Curtis. A teak hard front row forward who played many games for the !st sxv in the 80s and 90s. His death was reported by his brother Adrian who lives in Canada on Social media on the 29th June. I have no other information about cause of death or any funeral arrangements

Finally, Ernie Axford who was a frequent supporter of our lunches, whos’ funeral was on the 15th June

For all three our thoughts are with their families at this desperate time
