It was a cold one today.

3 degrees, 16-34mph, snow showers, feels like -2 degrees. It was a cold one today.

U7s get cold very quickly and the parents of the players did a great job to bring them along rugged up in some nice warm clothes. Hats, coats, gloves, and boots on then they were ready for some fun.

Today's plan was quite simple - keep moving all the time and keep warm. A good opportunity to work on movement games, passing games, and evasion. 12 - 14 players joined in for some fast paced games of space invaders (two teams head to head turning cones up or down), stuck in the mud (stickers and runners), your it with a pass (when you tag someone with the ball you pass the ball to them and run away), hot potato (get as many passes in as you can before the other team gets a tag from someone with the ball), and finally bulldog to finish.

The bulldog honors went to Frasier, Noah, and Nacho. Players of the week awards went to Nacho for some great steps and space finding in bulldog, and Rory for making it into the last players in bulldog. We also had some special super boot awards this week and gave out green laces to Johnny and Libby for great running and energy throughout.
