Season 22 in the club history 1954/55.

1954/55

Manager Harry Clancy had a new assistant in Harry Brown , the Queens Park Rangers goal keeper, who coached the Harrow team as well as playing in the Football League Division three south for QPR.
Excellent home form in the Spartan League with only one defeat until after New Year and that was a 3-2 defeat to high flying Briggs Sports who had been in the Amateur Cup semi-final earlier in the year. Some high scoring wins were achieved beating Wood Green 5-2 with Haskell scoring a hat trick supported by George Case & Billy Paul also netting. Letchworth were on the receiving end of a five one score line, Haskell this time scoring four and Case one. Roberts (2), Fuller (2), Hunt and Ward scored in a six one win over Tring Town, while Case(3), Bennett (2) and Hunt were on target in a 6-2 win at home to Hoddesdon Town. Away form did not match our home form , the first away win was not achieved until January 22nd when Bletchley Town were beaten 1-0, Bill Roberts scoring.
Defeat at Vale Farm to Wembley had ended any hope of an Amateur Cup run of our own. While in the F.A.Cup a last minute own goal by Met Police centre half Hampton set up a replay at Earlsmead . Unfortunately Harrow again failed to advance in the competition going down 5-1, John Ward scoring for the hosts.
George Case ended the season top scorer again on 15 goals.
Three friendlies were played towards the end of the season . Visits to Semi Professional Eastern League Sides Clacton (1-5) and Lowestoft (0-4) and a visit from Leyton Orient (1-3) to Earlsmead.
