Goals from Keyarn Cope-Chase and Anthony Chinwada-Munroe made it five from five for our Under 23s in the Suburban League North Division.

In windy conditions, Borough started the game quite slowly with some poor passing and decision making. Prince Jordan Kandolo and Danna Parvaneh made goal saving tackles and Lovre Dražić showed some safe hands to deny Uxbridge taking the lead.

Harrow began to settle and find their rhythm and were awarded a penalty after a foul on Anthony Chinwada- Munroe. The spot kick was converted by Keyarn Cope-Chase to give Borough the lead.

Despite Uxbridge having more of the ball, Borough were creating the better chances and doubled their lead when Anthony Chinwada- Munroe showed his pace to run in behind the home defence and got there before the home keeper to make it 2-0.

After half time, the game continued in a similar pattern and Uxbridge finally made their possession pay, halving the deficit with a finish across Dražić from the left side of the area.

Substitutes Max Errington and Bradley Hodge missed chances to restore the two goal lead, and there was a strong shout from Uxbridge for a penalty, but Borough held on to claim a fifth successive league win.

Coach, Danny Dyer was pleased that the team showed a different side to their game to secure the win. 'As we expected, today was a tough game and we weren't at our best. Early on I felt we were passing to get rid of the ball rather than passing with a plan in mind. It was great forward play by Anthony for the penalty and he showed bravery and commitment for his goal, as well as a good work rate throughout the game'.

He added, 'Stan (Mongha) played well at right back and I thought his application and distribution were good considering he was playing out of his usual centre back position. While it may not have been the most aesthetically pleasing game to watch, I think a win against a rival, both geographically and in the table, will always be welcomed with relief'.

The win sees Borough top the table and they are two points clear with at least one game in hand on the teams chasing them.
Next up is a trip to Brook House this Saturday, with a 3pm kick off at Farm Park, UB4 8DD.
