Boro took the lead after Leon Mwambize did well to retrieve a corner and crossed for Anthony Chinwada to head home. Another corner led to a second, with Flynn Duncan heading in at the back post.

Maxxime Ndambi, who came off the bench for the first team against FC Halifax Town, scored the third, dinking the ball over Marlow's keeper after he had taken on three defenders on a run from just inside their half. Leon Mwambize completed the scoring, cutting in from the left hand side to smash a shot which clipped the post on it's way into the top left hand corner from the edge of the area.

Assistant manager Danny Dyer was delighted with the performance and result. 'It was a good competitive game with some strong tackles and credit to Marlow who didn't let up until we had scored the fourth. Flynn was Man of the Match for me. He led the team well, kept possession, switched the play and deserved his goal. He could have easily had more as he also hit the crossbar three times'.

'Maxxime Ndambi also had a good game, holding the ball up well, didn't shirk any physical battles and kept their back four busy for the 70 minutes he played. It was a bit frustrating for Leon, but he kept going and scored a great goal which meant all of our front three got on the scoresheet. I was also pleased that unlike in other games, we were more clinical, scored the goals we deserved and I think the final score was a fair reflection of the game'.

The win leaves Boro a point behind leaders Flackwell Heath, who also won, with both teams having four games to play. They meet on Saturday 1st April, in what could well be a title decider.
