Falcons Community are delighted to announce Hartlepool RFC as our latest ‘Club of the Month’.

Hartlepool RFC have been recognised for engaging not only in community activity, but regularly attending Newcastle Falcons fixtures and participating in match-day experiences, giving the children memories they will never forget.

Dave Carson-White, Hartlepool RFC’s Club Connection ambassador has been recognised by the RFU for his volunteer work within the club. He works tirelessly to help raise money, set up new teams and runs touch rugby sessions, among other tasks.

Falcons Community’s Club Connections programme aims to make our community clubs stronger, by supporting elements both on and off the pitch.

Club Connections is powered by Fusion for Business (FFB), committed to helping sports clubs become more energy efficient through a range of costs and carbon savings. These savings can create a new recurring revenue stream, boosting longevity of grassroots sports for our next generation and beyond.

Fusion for Business Hartlepool RFC success story

Challenge: Hartlepool RFC are looking to raise £35,000 to fund new pitch floodlights. They engaged with FFB following a recommendation, to see how we could help through their community ambassador programme.

Solution: FFB are passionate about supporting local sports clubs and were delighted to sign up Hartlepool RFC to their programme. FFB offered their energy procurement services to Hartlepool RFC, of which they were able to identify savings which would contribute towards their floodlight target. The savings were identified through advanced procurement and FFB have successfully locked their gas contract in until 2027. Furthermore, FFB have sponsored Hartlepool RFC for two years at £750 per season.

Results: £2,250 worth of savings identified through advanced procurement!
