Originally formed in the late 1990s, Hartlepool Ladies were a well established team and enjoyed a very successful period at Mayfield Park during the mid 2000s.

Unfortunately by the end of the decade the team had disbanded and there was no longer a women's playing offer at the club.

In early 2021 we set about exploring the possibility of reforming the team which was met with great excitement.

Fast forward one year and Hartlepool Ladies have completed 12 fixtures this season as well as entering several development festivals.

This culminated in a first victory in their final game of the season when a squad of no less than 27 players took the field.

We can now also proudly boast a flourishing girls section too with teams at the Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 age groups.

The future of the women's & girls game is bright at Hartlepool Rugby Club and we are looking for the right person to help develop this further and take Hartlepool Ladies forward.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and implement a coaching programme for the season to develop skills, improve knowledge of the game and promote participation

- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions

- Lead team selection and manage the team on match days

- Support player recruitment & retention

- Complete appropriate CPD as required

Attributes & Requirements

- UKCC Level 2 Rugby Coaching Award, or extensive playing or coaching experience

- Strong interpersonal communication skills

- Motivated and organised

- Enthusiastic, reliable and committed

- Availability on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons
