Hartlepool will be aiming to continue their unbeaten start to the season which has seen them record seven straight victories.

Last Sunday they booked their place in the 2nd Round of the County Cup following a convincing 56-0 win against Gateshead.

Arguably their biggest test is to come when Tynedale Colts arrive at Mayfield Park on Sunday for a mouthwatering National Cup clash.

Pool secured their place in the 3rd Round with victories over Stockton and West Hartlepool, while Tynedale got to this stage by defeating two Cumbrian sides in Carlisle and Penrith.

The winner of this tie will book their spot in the last 16 of the competition and face the winner of Selby and West Park Leeds in Round 4 on Sunday 16th January.

New signing Jasper Allison made his debut in the victory over Gateshead last weekend but is cup tied for this game having played for West in a previous round.

Forwards Sam Charlton, Harry Watts and Elliot Reed all missed the County Cup game but come back into contention for Sunday.
