Over the May Bank Holiday Weekend, Hartlepool Rugby Club President, Andrew Bell will be taking on a charity bike ride.

He will be cycling 241 miles to raise funds for Alice House Hospice and Acorn Emotional Wellbeing.

He will start his route in Hartlepool on Thursday 29th April and over the course of the next four days he will cycle to the following Durham & Northumberland rugby clubs - Sunderland, Blyth, Ashington, Gosforth, Ponteland, Ryton, Winlaton, Bishop Auckland, Sedgefield, Darlington, Guisborough, Whitby and Seaton Carew.

Ahead of his charity ride, Andrew said: "I've always felt that Presidents Day should be a charity event and as this Sunday would have been my first Presidents Day in the role I felt this was an appropriate time to take on this challenge.

"Alice House Hospice and Acorn Emotional Wellbeing are two charities close to our hearts so all of the proceeds raised and your generous donations will be split equally between the two organisations."

Please support Andrew where you can. All donations no matter how great or small would be gratefully received. Thank you.
