Pool booked their place in the final thanks to a 23-21 victory over Ryton back in February, with the tie being played as a league & cup double header.

Durham City were beaten by Stockton in the Senior Cup quarter final, and then subsequently handed a walkover by Sunderland in the other Senior Plate semi final.
