Pool started the game will and dominated the first ten minutes of play without any clear changes with Dean Dickson and Josh Riley involved in the early exchanges.
12 minutes into the game and Bishop had a great opportunity to take the lead with a penalty from 30 metres but the kick was pulled to the right,
Pool then crafted a great opportunity through veteran scrum half Andy Foreman , Foreman made fifteen metres from a line out and combined with Max Filby who then surged forward and managed to pass to Graham Wilson who in turn slipped the ball to Dave Chester but unfortunately the ball was knocked forward with a great covering tackle.
Bishop took the lead after 16 minutes , an attempted clearance kick was charged down and the forwards took the ball and several drives saw a prop dive over for the first try . 7-0.
Just before the 30 minute mark, Pool were level. Ben Clarke received the ball in space and his deft kick off the defence was caught by Owen Samuel and he showed great pace to touch down in the corner. Lewis Wilson converted the try from the touch line to level the scores. 7-7
The try seemed to galvanised the home team and in a purple patch of a six minute spell , two clever kicks over the Pool defence were expertly finished to push Bishop 14 points ahead . 21-7
On the stroke of half time, the home second row was yellow carded for a high tackle on Anth Emmanuel
Pool nearly took advantage of the extra player and great 50-20 kick by Ben Clarke , saw Pool Jon Carney catch the line out ball before Neil Stead, Graham Wilson and Dan Cooper all were involved before the home side were penalised at the break down and the flanker was sent to the sin bin. Pool elected for the scrum but unfortunately the ball was knocked on and the referee blew for half time.
The second half saw Bishop playing towards the club house end and despite the Pool pressuring the hosts, a combination of silly mistakes and excellent home defence kept Pool from taking an advantage of the extra personnel.
The next ten minutes saw both sides throw everything into the contest but the majority of the play was around the half way line as both teams tackled their respective hearts out.
With 20 minutes remaining , the home winger was red carded for throwing a punch and Pool immediately came back into the contest, Liam Pape intercepted a pass to score from 20 metres out for Pool's second try . Lewis Wilson added the extra 2 points to reduce the lead to 7 points. 21-14
Credit to Bishop's despite the numbers disadvantage , the home team edged further ahead with a successful penalty. 24-14.
From the kick off, Liam Pape rose and caught the kick off , the forwards then recycled the ball and Graham Wilson broke sway to score in the corner for Pool's third try. Lewis Wilson conversion was just wide. 24-19.
With five minutes to go . Pool had a great opportunity to take the lead, the home team was penalised at the break down and the penalty was knocked 10 metres out.
From the resultant line out, Liam Pape caught caught great ball and as Pool broke through unfortunately the last pass was forward and geld edge opportunity was missed.
Bishop's came back into the game and after a series of forward drives , Pool were penalised for slowing down the ball and the home kicker coolly extended the lead to 8 points and seal the victory . 27-19.
From the kick off, Pool won a penalty and with the referee announcing the game will end after the next stoppage, Lewis Wilson calmly stepped up a stroke the penalty from 30 metres to claim a bonus point and leave the final score at 27-22.
