Two tries from Joseph Scarborough and one for each of Adam Ainley, Adam Williamson, David Chester and Tyler Hall secure the win in Pool's penultimate home game.

Pool playing down the park, the home side soon settled into the game and from a line out fifteen metres from the try line, Jon Carney soared in the line out before passing to Adam Williamson and the Pool captain drove over from 5 metres for the first try .5-0.

15 minutes on the clock and Pool added a superb second try , a flowing move saw Pool go through 8 phases from the half way line , flanker Dean Dickson caused problem and broke over the gain line , Adam Ainley then attacked blind before he linked with winger Tyler Hall who powered past the last defender for a great finish.10-0. Lewis Conversion touch line conversion was perfect and Pool led 12-0.

As Pool started to dominate the forward exchanges, with strong runs from Shane Ivey, John Osbourne and Graham Wilson , the away number 8 was yellow carded for a late hit after the whistle.

Pool stand off, Adam Ainley turned back the clock to dummy over from 30 metres to score in the corner for a well crafted individual try for
for the home sides third try . 17-0 Lewis Wilson slotted over the touch line conversion 19-0.

Five minutes before half time, Pool secured the all important 4 the try , Callum Whitehead went on a strong run from the back of the scrum and Pool then attacked the blind side with Tyler Hall making inroads , the play was reversed and Adam Williamson passed to Dave Chester and the centre showed great strength to storm over the line . 24-0 .

Ryton came into the game and Pool were forced to defend for five minutes on their own try line , the back row unit of Dean Dickson, Jon Carney and Callum Whitehead worked hard in defence and put in some great hits. However on the stroke of halt time, Graham Wilson was yellow carded for coming into the ruck from an offence side position.

Second half saw Ryton start in determined fashion and a lightning break saw them attack the blind side and Adam Ainley made a great covering tackle however it was the on the high side and although he stopped a certain try , the penalty try was correctly awarded and Ryton recorded their first score of the afternoon. 24-7. After the try was awarded, Ainley was then yellow carded and despatched to the sin bin.

Despite having 14 players , Pool extended the lead with a great individual try from academy player Joseph Scarborough, the winger was on as a second half sub and as Ryton cleared the ball down the field, Scarborough expertly caught the ball on the half way line and took off an electrifying run which saw him beat three players to score corner under posts . 29-7. Lewis Wilson conversion sailed through the post 31-7.

With 10 minutes remaining Pool added the sixth try , the forwards drove on from a scrum and quick hands saw all the backs handle before Joseph Scarborough rounded the last defender to score wide out. 36-7.

With 10 minutes remaining, Lewis Wilson was narrowly wide with penalty kick.

With minutes remaining Ryton had the last word, a penalty was awarded on the half way line and the penalty was kicked to the 5 metres line
and from the resultant line out, the ball was caught and driven for a deserved drive.36-12.

With three games remaining , Pool route to promotion is clear, win the next three games with 3 bonus points, however Ashington, Whitby and Bishop Auckland may have other ideas, with Ashington and Bishop Auckland away and Whitby at home.

Next week, Pool travel to Ellington Road to take on Ashington in a tricky away test.
