With several players called up to the 1st XV, Pool started the game with the bare fifteen until the cavalry arrived at half time in the form of our solitary substitute, John Osborne.

This was a very entertaining game that saw the hosts take a 25-10 lead into the break thanks to tries from Anthony Emmanuel (2), Liam Lester, Lewis Connor & Alfie Osborne.

In the 2nd half Horden came out strong to reduce the arrears before a Jamie Lines try and further scores from Emmanuel and Osborne secured the win.

The gap in the scoreline could have been wider had the eight conversion attempts not been so farcical. Most had a go. Not one on target!

Anthony Emmanuel was voted Man of the Match by the visitors following his hat-trick of tries.

Shout out to Jordan Harrison and Adrian Wray who stepped up from the 3rd XV at the last minute, with both completing the the full 80.

This was one of our most enjoyable performances of the season and credit to every player who dug deep to leave it all out on the pitch.
