Hartlepool Rovers are in derby day action when they visit Horden and Peterlee on Saturday (kick off 3pm).

The Collierymen top the Durham Northumberland One table at week three of the campaign after victories over Gateshead and Barnard Castle whilst Rovers have lost at Stockton and beaten North Shields, 54-5 last weekend.

The Whites ran in eight tries against promoted North Shieldhs with Danny Charters and Liam Wood scoring braces and Adam Smith, Liam Armstrong, Liam Austwicke and James Keers also touching down and Daz Fawcett converting all bar one of the tries.

Player-coach Steve Smith has had to make several changes to last week’s line up with James Evens, Matty Stephenson, Jack Gunn and Stephen Railton coming into the backs for Chrissy Harrison, Craig Vincent, Fawcett and Austwicke.

In the pack, Callum Whitehead partners Darren Smith in the second row and there is a rearranged back row of Tyrone Church, Charters and Armstrong. There is a strong bench in the form of Fawcett, Wood and Kevin Maguire.

Rovers: S Railton, Keers, S Barnfield, Gunn, A Smith, Evens, Stephenson, T Stead, M Saunders, N Stead, Whitehead (c), D Smith, Armstrong, Church, Charters. Subs: Fawcett, Maguire, Wood
