Rovers u11s made the short trip to Hartlepool Rugby Club for the u11 festival.
Rovers had a large squad and spirits were high for the first games of the season.
The first game against Stockton B kicked off and Rovers were soon to score. Rovers played some excellent attaching rugby and defence was strong with Kieran Jack and Harvey putting some big hits in.
The second game was against a very good Biligham team who played some really good rugby. But Rovers never let their heads go down
Third game against Middlesbrough saw Rovers out muscled by a big physical team. Rovers once again put some big hits in but Boro were just that bit to strong
The final game was very close with Rovers narrowly losing 2-1. Two good teams playing with commitment.
The morning of rugby was excellent and thanks to Hartlepool who hosted a really good, well organised, and welcoming festival. To see so many minis playing rugby is good for the sport.
Areas to work on for Rovers are
Supporting your team mate
Defending as a line
Using all of the pitch
All 9 players do not need to be within a meter of the ball.
Well done team. Keep up the hard work
