Tonight sees Seaham Redstar visit the welfare in a league game. As of late we have picked up with our performances and we are improving game by game. Tonight's game won't be easy, having already watched Red Star this season I know that they are young, hungry and willing to work there socks off, but saying that we are now starting to gel both on and off the pitch which is good to see. We have had some out goings of players as of late but also some players have came in as well. We have lost Peter Henderson to Boldon after only one game which disappoints me and Jordan Mellish to Jarrow after a brief start with the club. Both good players which I'm not happy about losing but it's a dog eat dog world in football. But then we have made some signings as well, Juste Akani has came in from 7 a side football, Juste is a big strong burly forward who like to put himself about, also we have resigned Ricky Brown from Hebburn Reyrolles, Ricky is a player I have admired for a couple of years who gives his all to the cause and is a very good footballer. We have also had some injury problems, we lost Danny Lydon after two games of the season with a knee injury and he's been out for a month and is still two weeks away from returning, Jak Quantril also with knee injury who is out for another month, Shaun Edwards with yet another knee injury who is hoping to return in a couple of weeks. We lost Shaun heads to a foot injury and he missed two weeks of football but is ready to return when he returns from his holidays. Young Ryan Stobbs is another who picked up a knee injury and he's hoping to return within three weeks also. So hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will be able to choose from a full squad. I have also donned the boots for the last couple of games which I must say I have enjoyed and while I think I can still play at the ripe age of 41 I will until I feel I'm letting players around me down. Hope that you enjoy the game tonight and we all hope that we pick up a well deserved 3 points to give us the kick start we need
