On Saturday we welcome SJR Worksop to the Jones & Co Recreational Ground in Central Midlands Alliance action. We wish a warm welcome to all the players, officials, and supporters of SJR Worksop.

As always entry for the game is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for members and under 16s. Toms Tea Room will be open for refreshments and the Pavilion will be open for pre and post- match drinks. Also, the Shaft Side Bar will be open throughout the game for alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The club’s raffle will also be up for grabs so please remember to purchase your tickets. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

We currently sit in fourth position in the league table, with 21 points after eight matches. On Saturday we won 5-0 at home to RHP Sports and Social, with Callum Edwards and Rob Singer both scoring twice, and Billy Stafford getting the other Colliery goal. On Tuesday 28th October we won 2-1 at home to Glapwell in the first round of the Abacus Lighting Floodlit Cup, with Jason Kearsley and Joey Lang scoring. On Saturday 18th October we lost 2-0 at home to Staveley Miners Welfare Reserves. On Saturday 11th October we won 6-0 at home to Teversal, with Danny Boulton, Callum Edwards, Joe Green, Dec Heath, Rob Singer and Billy Stafford scoring. On Saturday 4th October we won 3-2 away at Dinnington Town, with Danny Boulton, Josh Bowkett and Cory Goodwin scoring.

Our visitors currently sit in 10th position in the table, with nine points from 10 matches. On Saturday they lost 3-1 at home to Dinnington Town, with Joe Bean scoring. On Saturday 11th October they drew 0-0 away at Burngreave United. On Saturday 4th October they won 3-1 at home to Brodsworth Main, with Joe Bean, Aaron Redfern and Luke Tong scoring.

The sides have previously met on eight occasions, with Colliery winning four, drawing one and losing three matches. The last time the sides met was on Saturday 25th January, with Colliery drawing 3-3 away at SJR. Joe Bean, Oliver Perry and Kyle Wesley scored for the hosts, with Callum Edwards getting a hat-trick for Colliery.

One to watch for SJR will be Joe Bean. So far this season he has scored four times in six appearances.
