On Saturday we welcome Worksop Town Reserves to the Jones & Co Recreational Ground in Central Midlands Alliance action. We wish a warm welcome to all the players, officials, and supporters of Worksop Town.
As always entry for the game is £3 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for members. Toms Tea Room will be open for refreshments and the Pavilion will be open for pre and post-match drinks. Also, the Shaft Side Bar will be open throughout the game for alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The club’s raffle will also be up for grabs so please remember to purchase your tickets. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.
We currently sit in eighth position in the league table, with 12 points after seven fixtures. Last Saturday we won 2-0 at home to St Josephs, with Tymur Krit and Cam Till scoring.
On Saturday 31st August we lost 3-1 at home to Doncaster City, with George McKernan scoring. On Wednesday 28th August we won 8-1 away at Staveley Miners Welfare Reserves, with Kian Docherty and Cory Goodwin scoring twice, and Marley Alder, Alex Gibbins, Joe Green and Adam Morrison getting the other Colliery goals.
On Tuesday 20th August we drew 0-0 at home to AFC Bentley. On Friday 16th August we won 7-0 away at Woodhouse Colts, with Marley Alder and Cam Till scoring twice and the other Colliery goals coming courtesy of Adam Morrison, Josh Turner and an own goal.
Our visitors currently sit in 15th position in the table, with two points from five matches. On Saturday they drew 3-3 at home to AFC Bentley, with Tyrese Bailey-Green, Oscar Clarke and Max Eastwood scoring. On Saturday 31st August they lost 3-1 away at Ollerton Town, with Kirk Bradshaw scoring. On Saturday 24th August they drew 4-4 away at Hatfield Town, with Alireza Mofrad scoring twice and the other goals coming from Max Eastwood and Pharrell Waite.
One to watch for our visitors will be Max Eastwood. So far this season he has scored four times in four appearances.
