HRFC are pleased to announce the new signing of Tyger Smalls who will also be our youngest player to ever play for Haverhill Rovers in the FA Cup.

Tyger, at the age of 16 who will represent the club tomorrow, is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in local football and has been a breath of fresh air since joining the club.

Chairman Alastair Shulver said “ We are delighted to have Tyger on board as again it outlines the focus the club has on developing young talent with a vision of improving season by season to ensure we have a competitive and sustainable future.

The focus on providing young players opportunities was again evident in our recent victory at Godmanchester where we fielded only one player in the starting eleven over 21 years of age, for which Tyger made his league debut and demonstrated his talent in creating the opening goal of the game.

Tyger Smalls added “ I am really happy to have signed for Haverhill Rovers F C. It’s a great team and a young side with huge talent, energy and potential. I am thankful to everyone at Haverhill for making me feel welcome. I am now really looking forward to playing in the Emirates FA Cup for the first time at 16 years of age. I’m really happy to be with such a great club that gives young players great opportunities “

First team Manager Fergus O'Callaghan added “ I am delighted Tyger Smalls has committed to the football club, both Tyger and his parents really bought into the club's vision and are pleased that he will be able to develop his football education under the direction of Haverhill Rovers F C.

In Tyger's opening two games he has shown great maturity and has fitted in well with the rest of the squad. We look forward to watching his football progression and supporting him fulfil his potential with us at Haverhill Rovers F C".
