The First Team were today crowned champions of the Welsh National League Division One for the 2020/21 season.

League committee members confirmed the news after the decision to conclude the season amid the global Coronavirus pandemic.

The club would like to congratulate all members of the senior section who have worked tirelessly throughout the season, winning 10 games out of 12 played.

First Team manager Sean Regan was delighted with the announcement and praised his team's efforts.'I am absolutely delighted to receive the news that we have been crowned champions of the Welsh National League Division One. Whilst it is certainly not the way that anyone involved wanted the season to end it's important that common sense prevailed and no unnecessary risks have been taken.'

'Andy Jones (Assistant Manager) and I have been confident throughout the season that we would be able to bounce back from the disappointment that the club suffered last term. We believe that we were growing in strength as the season progressed as this group of players have been excellent and truly believed they would win the league title on merit.'

'On accepting the role at the club I knew the challenge would be big; rebuilding the squad following the departure of many long-serving players and focusing on young local talent. I feel privileged to manage this group and proud that 8 of our newly formed U19s have represented the first team this season'

Regan went on to highlight his gratitude for the surrounding support of the committee. 'I also want to say a massive thank you to the committee for being so welcoming and supportive as well as our Reserves and U19s coaches and players who we couldn't have done this without. Finally, I want to thank my assistant Andy and the entire playing squad for their effort and commitment in helping us to achieve our goals this season.'
