Posties gear up for big day....

Posties stand on the verge of becoming champions after last weeks results. 3 points from the last 5 games will seal the title, but a performance on Saturday will clinch it. The biggest enemy would seem to be the weather, with a dodgy forecast until late Saturday meaning another run out for the reliable covers.

South Milford though shouldn't be underestimated, they racked up 150 at Glen Road on the last outing with some positive stroke play and if they can contain Matty Williams then who knows what may happen. Unlike last time however, Whickerman will be the first obstacle and the not insignificant figure of Ifti will be lying in wait if they get past Matty. With a batting order stacked will ability and depth, the Posties should manage another big total.

On the bowling front, a fit again Clifton will be hoping to add some bite to his comback efforts of last week, something he wasn't able to do due to injury in the first match against South Milford. Ifti, rested and hopefully free of ankle problems will provide backup to the new ball bowlers, though he'll have to be managed carefully with Ramadan in full swing. Jimmy Branton is also back in the fold, after his tidy effort at Amaranth, so the Posties aren't short of seam options on what promises to be a damp track. Also, the added spinner option of Whickerman will cause South Milford more problems than the all pace attack of last time.

Put the champagne on ice, we have a job to do first...
