Having won the league and seen off the challenge of probably the next most competitive team in the Division, East Keswick, the Posties find themselves in comfort zone many teams would envy. However, holiday availability being what it is the committee have had to work hard getting numbers up over the last 2 games. Therefore, the team being put out this week has a very different look to the side that has stormed through the season.

Still, the backbone of Stelfox,Saunders,Frosdick, Branton, Ifty, Nobby remain.In those 6 alone, 6 main bowlers and 5.5 batsman exist (yes Jim we're counting you as .5!). However, it's all change elsewhere. Posties legend Dave Gilbank makes a welcome appearance to bolster the bowling and batting options. Ben Glyn, after impressing in his first 2 starts for the club, continues to look a genuine allrounder. Ben's flatmate, an aussie of some ability, Tom Edwards, makes his debut and brings the Kolpak quota back to the normal 2. Fletch comes in for Manto, after injuries have ruled him out of much of the season and will fill that keeper/batter role. Finally Spanish Tony steps up and will look to carry on his impressive efforts in the field.

With some welcome old faces in Gilbank, Fletch and some exciting new talent in Glyn and Edwards, much can be learned and the side has a certain fresh look to it. It's exciting times and and things can be tried in the final few games, as the Posties gear up for a more competitive season in Div5 next year. However, experimentation will be kept within reason as the Posties look to protect their unbeaten record. There is plenty of scores to settle, Branton after his metronomic effort in his last 3 matches of 25-11-37-0, will be looking to pick up some wickets. Ifti will be looking to make up for lost time and leap above student Mike for the 3rd highest wicket taker spot.Fros needs to score 40 more to qualify for the league averages and list goes on.

Green Hammerton for their part, have been a pretty tough nut to crack of late, a recent win over East Keswick shows their strength. Nick Gibson in particular has been impressive with the bat and the Posties won't be underestimating them. With key players back next week, competition for places should spur everyone on.
