Summer recruitment has been good this closed season and the club has been happy to see a number of new faces at training and in pre-season games. This has left manager Chris Pugh with a welcome selection headache as we approach the first game of the seaon. Chris has stated that players regularly attending are more likley to find themselves in the team come the weekend in order to keep things fair. Although the club can name five sustitutes in league and cup competitions teams can only play three. Due to this it has been decided that in normal circumstances only three will be named. This will prevent unused subs and prevent playes from hauling themselves out of bed on a Sunday and travelling long distances only to be disappointed at the end of 90 minutes. To this end it is vitally important that players reply to club emails with their availablity in good time. Those not involved in early games should not lose heart as when the season gets up to full speed it is likely that a number of players will become unavailable - you will get your chance!
