The club would like you to know that in the event of a serious injury whilst playing in an officially sanctioned game, the RFU has a nationwide insurance scheme. This, however, doesn't cover a player for temporary injury, loss of earnings, medical and legal expenses or any other type of injury not mentioned in the policy - see link below.

We have explored other avenues to provide cover for the above exclusions, but if we extend it to include these, then we have to pay on a team by team basis, which would be financially unviable for the club to fund. We also cannot be seen to favour/recommend one insurance supplier.

Therefore, our recommendation is that if players wish to have additional cover, then they seek it out for themselves.
