Ex-Darlington player keen to show what he can offer

The club are delighted to confirm the signing of talented midfielder Jack Lambert until the end of the season with a view to securing a longer term deal ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Lambert has signed after returning home to England after leaving Icelandic professional side ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar.

“He’s an exciting, talented young player who fits the player profile of what we want here at Hebburn” manager Kevin Bolam said. “I’m thrilled to have the lad on board and with the loss of Cedwyn Scott to Carlise then Jack will be a good addition to our squad, he’s joined at a really exciting period and I’m sure he’ll do well”.

Lambert began his career in Middlesbrough's youth system, made his senior debut in the Scottish Premiership with Dundee, and after joining Scunthorpe in 2019, spent time on loan at National League North clubs Darlington (two spells) and Blyth Spartans before moving to play professionally in Iceland.

Everyone at the club would like to welcome Jack and hope he rips it up starting in the FA Vase in the coming weeks.
