Formed in 2003, Helsby RUFC’s Minis and Junior section offers boys and girls the chance to have fun and learn the game with a pathway to Senior rugby.

With a focus on the RFU’s Core Values of Teamwork, Discipline, Respect, Enjoyment and Sportsmanship, the club have a growing number of Mini and Junior teams, catering for the following age groups :

• U6s and U7s (school years 1 and 2) – Coached by Jed Denham, Tom Orford and Mike Griffiths.

• U8s to U11s (school years 3, 4, 5 and 6 ) – Coached by Dave Harrogate, Dan Bruce, Martin Higgins, Andy Wheeler, Grace Wheeler and Jim Burrowes

• U13s (school year 8) – Coached by Gary Jones, Jim Gray and Nick Davies

Junior Training takes place every week on Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon – everyone welcome!

Membership costs £80 for the year for one child and £40 for each additional child in the family, which includes membership of Helsby Community Sports Club for one parent (current members of HCSC’s other sporting sections should speak to a club official before joining, since a further discount is available).
