We hope all our players, parents, members and supporters are staying safe in these unprecedented times. Sadly the 19-20 season really never got going, then sadly came to a close with the recent corona-virus situation. We know our players will be missing their football but it's very important we keep ourselves safe, stay at home and give the NHS the support as they bravely deal with the current pandemic.
So even without football we are as a cub very pleased to say that we have again been granted the FA Community Charter Standard Status. There is only a few hundred clubs in the UK who hold this status, so we are really proud of the status.
This means as a club we are maintaining high standards and all our team coaches are CRC checked, they have current First Aid and Child Welfare qualifications. We have at least 2 level 2 qualified coaches, have over 10 junior teams (we have 20) and have a male and female adult team which we do have.
We have also shown evidence of growing the game which in the last 2 years our girls and ladies teams have increased numbers and teams following initiatives such as the Holme Valley Girls Schools Tournament and the Wildcats sessions on Saturdays.
There are a number of other standards we have to show around how we run the club that are shared with the FA to evidence the status.
We are really proud to have obtained the status again, please keep safe until we get chance to see you all again when the current situation allows.
