Most of you know me but there are some that may not. For those that don't I am the first team physio at Hertford RFC. I provided first aid on Sundays for the mini and junior section for years until I passed that role onto Rob Sibley a few years ago.

My private clinic Active Body and the club have always had a great mutually beneficial relationship. We have provided the club, through myself and then Rob with sports specialist first aid services at half price rates on Sundays including diagnosis of injury on the day, as well as discounted rates at clinic. We have then benefitted from referrals from the coaches/parents to clinic if one of the players required physio to get them back playing. This obviously benefits the mini and junior section also as players are getting back to rugby quickly with their injuries resolved and less likely to reoccur.

After speaking to MICHAEL Sargent (academy coach) and after Sophie coming round to speak to parents on Sunday last week, It has come to my attention more that a lot of coaches and parents are not aware that this relationship exists and that they can bring their children to clinic. Some were not even aware the clinic was there. The coaches through MICHAEL have asked that I provide an injury prevention exercise list as there are apparently a lot of injuries amongst the junior section at present.

I want to make everyone aware that my private clinic, located at the club is available at discount rates to all mini and junior players as well as parents. We have elite standard rehab facilities on site now.
We have decided to offer the following discounts for the mini and junior sections:

£25 per 30min physio session for mini and junior players

£35 per session for parents or hertford RFC members. The sessions for adults are 15 mins longer.

The sessions will all be facilitated by experienced practitioners who have all worked in professional or semiprofessional rugby. They will receive the same care and rehabilitation that the 1st team enjoy.

I would be very grateful if you could circulate this email along with the attachments to the parents in your age groups to make them aware. If you as coaches sustain injuries to players on a Sunday then please send them over to be assessed. If there is anything more serious we are available to provide treatment to get them back playing.
