Sad loss of another past player.

Please see below a message from John Goodacre.

"I regret to have to inform you of the death of a great OH (Old Hertfordian) wing forward of the 1960s, Roger Martin after a long illness,

Roger started his rugby career on the wing for Cambridge with the Likes of Dickie Jeeps and Andy Hancock, and on joining Creaseys in Hertford ,played as a first team regular for many years establishing himself as an uncompromising tough, rapid and thinking wing forward. he played as hard off the pitch as on and he and I had a certain reputation for the consumption of Macs AK the then club staple diet.

He moved to Truro in the 70s to pursue his career in print and retired to St Austell eventually.

I mourn the loss of a great player and friend.

John Goodacre."
