A reminder of the key requirements to ensure safe and compliant attendance at Hoe Lane

Following the latest government update on 22nd September with regard to the Coronavirus Pandemic - guidelines have now become legally enforceable with the risk of heavy fines and ultimately closure of the club in the event of non-compliance.

Chair Karen Newbury and the Hertford RFC Board wanted to take the opportunity to reinforce the importance of adhering to the guidelines to ensure that your visit to the club is conducted with your safety and the safety of others in mind. The rules apply to everyone attending the club, please respond courteously if you are directed to change your behaviour by a member of staff or club official - rudeness, abuse or lack of compliance will not be tolerated.

In general
It is critical that everybody observes the following key behaviours:
HANDS - Wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds.
FACE - Cover your face in enclosed spaces, especially where social distancing may be difficult and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
SPACE - Stay 2 metres apart where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place.

In the clubhouse
You MUST register your details upon entry to the clubhouse. Effective Thursday 24th September, there will be a poster at the front of the club house with the NHS Track-and-trace QR code where you should use the NHS Track-and-trace App to record your attendance - there will be the alternative of using the signing in sheet, if you don't have a smartphone that supports the app. If you refuse to register you will be asked to leave the club house.

The NHS app can be downloaded to your smartphone using the following links Apple Store Google store
Once you have registered please wait to be seated by a member Tracey’s team

Visitors to the club house must wear face coverings, except when seated at a table to eat or drink. Your serving staff will now also be required to wear face coverings.

There is a one-way system in the club house that MUST be followed
Entrance is via the main front door of the clubhouse. Exit is via the small bar door. If you use the lavatories in the corridor to the left of the bar then you must follow the one-way system and exit via the back door.

Drinks will be ordered from and delivered to tables only, in groups of 6. We will have use of the dining room from this weekend and tables of 6 will be laid out - please do not move any furniture

Payment will be taken at the table to reduce movement within the club house. Only contactless and card payments will be accepted

Players
Players must pre-register for training using Pitchero in advance and register on arrival
Youth and Mini players must have a responsible adult in attendance (this isn't a new requirement; it has always been the case) Parents please practice social distancing and avoid clustering
Players must have their own bottle of water - no sharing
Players should bring their own personal alcohol gel to disinfect - PPE and gel will be provided as well
Balls and hands will be disinfected every 15 mins
Players must minimise contact outside the 15minute contact session, this might be hard for some of our younger players, so please remind players what is expected of them.

Thanks in advance for your continued support of our rugby club in these challenging times.
