Cirencester Town 1 Highworth Town 0

Highworth's penultimate game ended with a single goal defeat at promotion hopefuls Cirencester Town. The visitors lost Ollie Case and Luke Jones early on to injuries and were indebted to keeper Connor Johns to prevent the hosts going ahead on 13 minutes who magnificently tipped over a Whitehead free kick. The only goal of the game came on 31 minutes with a Jake Lee penalty after the referee deemed Leon Morrison to have fouled a Cirencester forward in the penalty area.
HT 1- 0 Cirencester
A Levi Irving effort rattled the visitors crossbar on 51 mins and Johns saved well from a Bennett close range effort as the hosts pushed on. Highworth had brought on the returning Callum Parsons at half time and he provided much needed energy going forward but the visitors were unable to create any clear cut chances.
The game ended with yet another flying stop from Johns as Highworth's away fixtures for the season came to an end.
Remarkably given their recent form Highworth remain in 10th position in the table with a home fixture against Willand Rovers to come on Saturday. A win would see them maintain this position, a draw or defeat may see them slip to 11th.
Barnstaple Town and Mangotsfield are relegated (Subject to FA confirmation)
At the top Plymouth Parkway are virtually assured of taking the 1 automatic promotion place with Frome Town, Cirencester Town, Winchester City, Bristol Manor Farm and AFC Totton fighting for the 4 play off places which sees 1 other side promoted.
