Hitchin Town FC Hawks 6-1 Bedwell Rangers FC

With George carrying an injury and with Bedwell down to 10 players the match began 10 v 10 and it was Bedwell who created two early chances from corners. The first was headed against the crossbar and the next was headed just wide, both from the same player. Following this Hawks settled down and dominated the rest of the match.

A number of chances went begging. Adam was set free by Tyler but his shot went wide, Billy C then had a shot saved, Tyler had a header and a shot go wide in quick succession and Billy C then rattled the crossbar. Adam had a shot saved by goalkeeper, Bens free kick went over as did a header from Billy C and a shot from Billy M.

Finally in the 28th minute the scoring began. Bradley found Tyler with a pass out wide, Tyler beat 2 players easily and he picked out Ben with a cross and Ben calmly placed the ball into the goal (1-0). Two minutes later and a handball following a cross by Adam saw Ben score the penalty (2-0). Three minutes later and Billy K scored a goal on his debut. A Tyler corner made its way to Adam at the far post who passed to Sahosh and he passed to Billy to score (3-0). Straight from the kick off Adam and Billy C won the ball back and Billy C passed to Adam who broke through the defence to score (4-0) and a minute later a Tyler cross was met on the edge of the box by Billy K who rifled the ball into the goal (5-0). A devastating 7 minute display.

The second half began where the first left off with chances for the Hawks. Sahosh had an effort wide as did Adam before he scored his second of the match. Again Bradley did well in defence bringing the ball forward and passing out wide to Tyler whose cross was met by Ben. His header wsa saved but Adam followed up to score (6-0). Two minutes later and Bedwell scored from a corner, the ball hitting a Bedwell player on the back of the head and going on. (6-1). Hawks finished the game with more chances. Billy C had a shot wide and Adam hit the crossbar following a scramble in the penalty area. Ben had a shot go wide and Billy M had a shot saved. Hawks should easily have got to double figures in this game but another excellent performance.
