Holbrook started their 4th League game 1 place behind our opposition in the table.
It wasn't a great start to the game for Holbrook with Rob Boylett leaving the field within a minute due to a eye injury, which thankfully he recovered from by half time. Holbrook also conceded a penalty within the first few minutes which Shoreham2's failed to succeed in scoring.
Joel Murray opened the scoring from Holbrook with a Try which was converted by Andy Collins, Andy then made a break over the line for his own try which unfortunately he failed to convert, after an unexpected downpour of rain a few more tries the first half finished 29-0 to the home side.
Changes at half time changed the dynamic of the Holbrook team and the way we played in the second half saw another 3 tries and a conversion scored.
The downside to the Holbrook game today was dynamic of the players during the first half and the unfortunate amount of penalties and handling errors due to the wet weather conditions that meant we simply gave the ball away to the opposition to many times.
The positives from todays game were 3 players were required to play out of position due to injury and players not being available and they stepped up the mark and did their best given the short notice to change.
Man of the Match was awarded to Sam Jenkins for his superb tackling from the beginning to the end of game as well as his performance on the ball.
Doughnut of the Day was awarded to Carl Brewster for his part causing injury to a team mate prior to the game.
