Todays result

We faced current league champions today at the high school. Both teams have had an inconsistent start to the season so it was an important game for both teams.

We started the better team and their keeper made 2 good saves to prevent us from scoring.

We did eventually took the lead on the 29th minute when we had a corner which was swung in. The ball was headed clear and we put the ball back into the box and there defender had high feet against Marc and the ref awarded the penalty. Sean stepped up and scored from the spot.

Had time The Wa 1 Scaur 0

Into the 2nd half and Scaur came flying out the blocks when they broke up the right hand side and their winger scored.

I missed the next 25mins of the game as I was looking for balls that had been punted over a 50ft high fence. From what I seen it seemed to be back and forth but neither team creating anything.

On the 78th minute Scaur had a corner which we couldn’t clear our lines from. The ball fell to their defender at back post and he poked it home.

For remaining 10mins we tried to get an equaliser but we just couldn’t get the run of the green.

A draw would probably have been a fair result but that wasn’t to be today.

We must lift our heads up and be ready for our next game next Sunday against Waverley.

MON THE WA!!!
