Match report by Simon Rounce: Holt thirds went into Saturday's match after a huge loss last weekend. However there was no sign of this disappointment once the whistle was blown against Norwich Medics. Holt started well with the forwards making ground early on. Holt's front row of Steve Tagg, Neville Drewry and Josh Sleightholme were in good form. Medics had no match for the force of Holt's pack. Jim Edwards scored the first try within 5 minutes after much forward domination. The boot of Joel Eustace converting, another try was to follow with the medics having no answer to Holt's scrum and forward play. The combination of Jim Edwards and Nick Harding being well supported by the forwards and backs putting holt well in front. Simon Harwood scored through the backs after good distribution by Greg Arundell. Medics were not laying down though and came back with a couple of try's. Half time came with Holt in the lead. Jim Edwards came off with ankle injury. Then Medics had a good spell closing the gap, and Holt's forwards having done a lot of work started to tire. Replacements came of which Richard Player for Simon Harwood and David Seaman for Craig Muckley who had a solid game with lots of good carries. Greg Arundell playing 10 came off after a shoulder injury. The replacements were solid and the forwards maul was unstoppable with 3 further try's in the second half. Soon the scrum went uncontested after being broken by Holt's unstoppable scrum team, but even though there was considerable pressure by Medics the solid tackling of the Holt pack and backs they didn't concede another try. The trusty boot of Joel Eustace allowing All blacks forward on the wing David Seaman a second try. All in all great flowing rugby with a lot of clever simple play by holt, a well deserved win. My men of the match were Nick you can't stop me you bstrd Harding and Jim I'm all over pitch smashing everyone Edwards. Well done Holt a pleasure to watch.
