I'm not sure if Nona ever realised what she was taking on when her husband, Paul, was instrumental in the formation of Hope Valley RUFC and even more so when they became our hosts at The Peak Hotel, but it was a role she took to with relish and, even after their retirement from the pub and Paul's untimely death, she remained passionate about the Club's wellbeing.

There's not enough space here for me to do her justice, simply to say Nona was and always will be The First Lady of Hope Valley RUFC.
