Bouncebackability?

After last weekend's heartbreaking, last second defeat at Ashton-on-Mersey RUFC, Valley will be looking to bounce back when they host Altrincham Kersal 3rd XV on Saturday (ko 1415hrs @ Hope Sports Club).

The last three seasons have been a rollercoaster ride for Altrincham.

Many, myself included, considered them the second best team in the division in Valley's promotion season and as recently as January 2018 they beat Valley in a 121 points display of "no defence" rugby.

However, their last visit to the Valley saw them lose 72-0 and they went only one score better last October when Valley turned in a stunning first half performance in a 71-5 win that has been a measure of a tough season for Altrincham, who are currently propping up the division.

Credit though to a team who have been teetering on the brink of league expulsion for several weeks that they are fighting to ensure their fixtures are completed (we know what that's like, we've been there) so Valley would do well to be wary of a "wounded animal" and put in 100% effort for this, their penultimate home league fixture.
