Meetings between the two teams are traditionally high scoring affairs, Valley won the last meeting between the two clubs 71-12 back in December 2019 whilst our last visit to Burnage in 2017 saw they home team adapt far better to their “plastic” pitch and 10-a-side rugby, running out 80-24 winners.

Burnage currently sit second in the league after opening with a 34-15 win over Macclesfield 4th XV followed by an impressive 38-20 win over Congleton.

Valley will be strengthened by the return of several players who were due to miss last week’s scheduled trip to Bowdon, but will still be without fly half Ed Oldridge (shoulder) and tackling machine Christian Barnett (hamstring).
