After a nervous wait to see if The Great North Run would take place Valley members Dom Hunter and Phoebe Pembleton took their places amongst 60000 starters for this famous race.

A gruelling 13.1 miles later, there were two tired, but happy finishers - I'll not disclose who finished with the fastest time, but Dom has sworn never to do another half marathon.

Their efforts have been well supported by family, friends and fellow club members, raising £1260 for the mental health charity, MIND, well above their original target of £500.
