Ben Remfry picked up the most trophies, taking home four, including 1st XI captain’s player of the year and Slam captain’s player of the year. He was also the top run-scorer in the club, with a season’s total of 998, and 1st XI top run-scorer.
Three players won a trio of awards each – Ben Davies, Irfaan Baksh and Tom Jowett. Davies was the best all-rounder in the club and in the 1st XI and the club’s top wicket-taker with 57. Baksh was 2nd XI captain’s player of the year and the top wicket-taker and best all-rounder for the 2nd XI. Jowett was 3rd XI captain’s player of the year and the 3rd XI’s top run-scorer and best all-rounder.
Leading the way in the women’s section were Naomi Hamilton and Sarah Preston with two awards each. Preston was the league team captain’s player of the year and the Slam team players’ player of the year, while Hamilton was the league team players’ player of the year and the top run-scorer.
Picking up two awards each in the men’s section were Aidan Spalding and Ryan Smith. Spalding was voted players’ player of the year in the 2nd XI and captain’s player of the year in the Development Tier One team, while Smith was 3rd XI players’ player and 3rd XI top wicket-taker.
A host of other players won one award each and they are all listed below.
Additionally, Mark Field was named club person of the year for the match scoring and admin work he carries out.
Trevor Stevens was rewarded for his long service as a player with the stalwart’s award and umpires Chris Allen and John Davies were both awarded honorary life membership of the club.
