Today I can announce, through a huge amount of hard work from our Chairman, Nick O'Mahony, We have been awarded £10,000 form the RFU Social Spaces fund and £9,800 from East Riding Council commuted sums. A total in hard cash of £19,802.

The funds will be used to decorate the clubhouse and kitchen, replace the heating system and windows, new clubhouse furniture and upholstery & replace vital catering equipment. In addition, much needed replacement & repair work will be carried out on the bar floor, the cellar extension and cellar roof.

Fantastic news, facilities to be improved for everybody who uses the Rec, so time to get the bar filled this season, celebrating victories, enjoying a good few pints together as a team.

Speaking about the funding, Hornsea Chairman, Nick O'Mahony said, " This is great news for the club and everybody who uses the Rec, improved facilities have been overdue for a while and now the work can start in the very near future. I'd like to thank Alex Bowden of the RFU for his efforts along with all those concerned at East Riding of Yorkshire Council".
