Coaches are required to support the ever growing Mini and junior section. The candidate must be up for a challenge and be motivated to help to continue the legacy of a fantastic mini section with support from the club. Houghton Rugby Club is committed to making sure that it builds one of the best Mini sections in the area.

These vacancies are voluntary.
Role Title: Mini and Youth Section Rugby Coach
Location: Houghton Rugby Club, Dairy Lane, Houghton-le-Spring, DH4 5BH
Duration: 2 to 3 hours per week
Availability: Sunday and on occasions one mid week evening (girls only (September to July)

Main tasks/ Key responsibilities:
• Develop the age group within the Club
• Planning and delivery of coaching sessions.
• Organisation and management of the team on game days
• Attract and recruit new players
• Positive attitude

Previous experience:

• Previous rugby experience is desired, but not essential as on the pitch training will be provided

Training and Support:

• Must undergo and pass a DBS check
• Willing to work towards their England Rugby Coaching Award
• On pitch training will be provided by our coaches, CPD course will also be provided.

Responsible to:
• The Clubs Director of Rugby and/or Chairman of Mini/Junior Section
