Boars vs Washington

Too much possession for the Boars in this game to even contemplate writing a full match report, a few of the highlights are below with try scorers.

Early in the game Gary Spoors tackles the opposition winger into touch, the young lad clearly expecting to run around the fat hobbit takes exception to this and jabs an elbow into Bilbo's throat only to be met the most aggressive hobbit he's ever seen!! some handbags are thrown on the floor with a lot of dancing around them for a few moments until things are calmed down - Hobbit 1 Young winger 0.

The Boars have the ball in the Washington 22 - up by a few tries at this stage centre Aidan Towers who has just returned from a serious shoulder injury is given the ball with acres of space, he tries to accelerate towards the gain line but his hamstring tells him no!! His brain armed with this piece of information and the fact that Carl Harvey taking a breather on the far wing thought "there's only one thing for this.............................................................................................................................cross field kick" Aidy puts boot to ball - its a beautiful sight...........................the ball moves effortlessly through the air towards the onrushing 'half game' Harvey who plucks the ball out of the sky 2 yards out and runs under the posts for arguably the Boars best try so far this season.

Towers and Harvey was replaced with a pulled hammy a short time after this.......................possibly second half but nobody is counting.

Washingtons only try was scored by a Houghton Boars player - Mark Lisle - who cut an excellent line and was found by their replacement 10 (who started at centre) and had a decent game.

The only other thing worth a mention was the best clothesline since Hulk Hogan took the Ultimate Warriors head off at Wrestlemania iiiv - Mark Lisle playing for Washy takes a ball in his own half and accelerates through a gap only to be met by Gav 'the killer' Clarke's outstretched arm - the clothesline heard all around Washington will be spoken about for years to come as 'the killer' stoops into the tackle and BOOOOOOOOOOOM Lisle's legs are still running whilst his head is stationary.

DOTD move by 'the killer' but what a spectacle worthy of box office viewing.
