After a months break the under 16's are back in league action

Under 16's is always a difficult age group not least with exams and players signed to Academy contracts and Dockers have had a frustrating season so far.

The bad weather saw a delayed start for most teams though our lads didn't take to the field until the end of March. Despite the Easter break the 16's managed back to back games in April though May went without a game due to Bank Holidays, Magic weekend and postponements. However, the start of June sees Dockers with a home game against Moldgreen.

"We always knew it was going to be a disrupted season though we are three months in and played just five games. As much as its frustrating we know that we aren't the only team in this situation and we've tried to adjust how we operate as a team as the routine we had wasn't engaging the players.

We've had reasonably good numbers at training and the lads are eager to get back to playing. The break has also benefited us as hopefully we will get some players back from injury as despite us having no games lads have picked up injuries with school and Scholarship matches. Hopefully we can string a few matches together and get a bit of momentum going.

Moldgreen have had a lot of experience in the Premier Division and will bring that on Sunday and we are expecting a good tough match."
