Another sub par performance by the Hythe's most experienced team keeps them routed in the relegation spots with 4 games to go.
This result was probably expected but the fact that there's more effort getting to the pre match breakfast table than on the pitch is disappointing.
Only Nick Shrive 75 can hold his head up as Hythe batted first and were shot out for just 126. No other player made double figures.
There was more spirit shown in the field however and Hythe had chances to rip into the Shanklin innings. As it was 3 wkts were taken and the pick of the Hythe bowling was Gary Dyer 2-19 off 7. Redford & White also bowled well.
Next up Hayling Island who lie in 11th place
