"Thank you for your good wishes regarding Brian and I will pass them on when I see him this afternoon. He is doing well and says the pain isn’t too bad except when he tries to stand, but that is improving. He has the physio people coming in to help I’m each day, but over Easter not much has happened. I spoke to one of the physio who said he will visit at home to help Brian for as long as is needed when he comes home. I and the family feel that Brian won’t be in the hospital for too much longer, perhaps a few days more. If anyone does want to visit he is in The John Ray ward, which is the orthopaedic ward on the third floor (I think it’s E333) but it is signposted. John Hume and Brian Cronin went to visit a few evenings ago and Brian was delighted to see them, so I am sure if anyone does go he would be equally pleased to see them. It would be helpful if someone could let me know if and when they are visiting as it has been a bit of a struggle for me to go as I am having knee trouble and have to get one of the family to come with me so they can push me in a wheelchair, it’s just such a long walk for me at the moment from car to pay station and into hospital etc., I’m fine driving, just the walking.
Thanks again for good wishes."
