Final day successes

In probably a unique season in the Club's history, the Coronavirus Pandemic affected season finished in winning style although in a fashion typical of the shortened competitions.
The 2nd XI were left without a final fixture, "Coronavirus-ed Off", due to opposition player symptoms - a new one to add to rained-off, match abandoned etc.
Nevertheless, this maintained the 2nd XI's undefeated season (and a record going back to 19th July 2019) to take the 2nd XI Division 1 Trophy. Congratulations to Captain Kar Gornall and his squad on their achievements. This is the 5th Trophy for the Club since returning to the Halifax Cricket League 4 seasons ago.
It is hoped that the trophy will be soon presented as it was due to be handed over at the start of the last match.
We look forward to the League averages being confirmed and anticipate a Club player at the top of the 2nd XI League averages.
The 1st XI finished the season as they began, with an excellent win - in between was a mixed affair - and are still holders of the Halifax Cricket League Premier Division. Congratulations to Josh Cooper who recorded his maiden century for the Club against Shelf Northowram HTCC.
The 3rd XI came a creditable equal 2nd having only played 6 matches compared to other clubs around them who played 7 or 8 matches.

Although the matches have now been completed, Government COVID-19 regulations permitting, there is still some important activities coming up at the Club:
1) Sam Starsmore's Marathon Boundary run to raise money towards the £22,000 replacement Pavilion roof. PLEASE, PLEASE SPONSOR him and recognise his efforts at this link .
The event has been kindly sponsored by Vocation Brewery and FAB Developments and other raffle donations have been greadtfully received - more details soon to come here and on social media.
Details of a proposed Bavarian Night and The Annual Dinner will be announced in due course ensuring COVID-19 Compliance.
